"...The most imortant thing I learned is this thing that is still surprising when I tell other people, which is, that as you improve health in a society, population growth goes down."

World Harvest Missions

Children under the age of five face multiple obstacles, including birth injuries, infectous diseases, malnutrition, home invironments that lack intellectual stimulation, and environments with polluted water and air.  neonatal mortality has persisted and currently 38 percent of all deaths(4 million) occur during the first month of life.  John Leininger spends his time to train the health care promoters and care for the children in each of these villages so this program will be successful.  The picture shows the first supply of medicines that he recieved this year.  We will supply this program each year with children’s medicines for the over 27,000 children that Harvest International is serving in Haiti.

Essential medicines to help needy children

The Lucress Watson and Dick Watson Children's Foundation is dedicated to bringing essential medicines and supplies to the very poorest needy children in the world.

We've created a remarkable, cost-efficient program to deliver health care through local organizations to some of the most remote places on earth, so that more needy children can grow up in good health.

Our goal ...

Our goal is to help needy children by bringing a steady supply of essential medicines to children who don't have ready access to modern medical care -- needy kids who live in extremely remote rural areas.
