Founders Award to Mr and Mrs van den Berg

The Watson Children’s Foundation just presented one of it’s Founders Award miniature sculptures to Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Van Den Berg of Austin, Texas.  The Founders Award represents an annual donation of $10,000.00 or more to the Watson Children’s Foundation.  A donation of this size provides essential medicines for over 10,000 needy children.

Cindy Bishop presented the award to them on Friday May 12, 2008. The sculpture is of Lucress and the children.

The life size sculpture is in front of the foundations building in Franklin, Texas. The foundation is now supplying essential medicines for over 321,000 sick needy children.

Essential medicines to help needy children

The Lucress Watson and Dick Watson Children's Foundation is dedicated to bringing essential medicines and supplies to the very poorest needy children in the world.

We've created a remarkable, cost-efficient program to deliver health care through local organizations to some of the most remote places on earth, so that more needy children can grow up in good health.

Our goal ...

Our goal is to help needy children by bringing a steady supply of essential medicines to children who don't have ready access to modern medical care -- needy kids who live in extremely remote rural areas.
