How Can I Help?

Donate to help needy children

Life is a gift, and if we agree to accept it, we must contribute in return. When we fail to contribute, we fail to adequately answer why we are here.

Seed Program

Working with Seed Programs, Inc., the Watson Children’s Foundation sends six packages of vegetable seeds to each of the families within their qualified organizations. In 2006, the first year of our seed program, we shipped more than 152,000 packages of seed. In 2011 we shipped more than 250,000 packages. Some of the villages made a communal garden, but most elected to have their own gardens

This program has been a success! Families that received the seed packages have planted them successfully and are excited about the results. They’ve asked to receive the seeds again each year. It’s estimated that these seed packages will produce about 180 pounds of vegetables for a family. This additional nutrition makes a tremendous difference in the health of growing children.

Most remarkably, the seed packages cost less than $1 per family, including shipping and delivery to their communities. For only one dollar a year, we’re making an important investment in the future health of children in these families.
